Shayne Newton, President of FANatic Sports, LLC., announced today that it has acquired Softball World Magazine and will incorporate it into the FANatic family of sports and entertainment Marketing.
Newton has been publishing the weekly FANatic Sports publication in Paulding County since August of 2008. He has also developed a sports and entertainment marketing company that produces Mixed Martial Arts events on a regular basis.
Under the partnership with Softball World and Slaughter, Newton will publish the softball publication in conjunction with FANatic Sports. And, like Slaughter, Newton is excited about the future for Softball World.
"Bill has done a great job of creating Softball World from scratch and building a solid reader and advertiser base," Newton said. "With FANatic's resources and networking, though, we will be able to take Softball World to new levels. We will make it bigger and better, and the best part about it is that Bill will continue to be with us every step of the way."
Said Slaughter of the partnership with FANatic Sports: "I am excited about the future of Softball World under the new arrangement with Shayne Newton and FANatic Sports. I want all of the readers, advertisers and softball players who have supported me with Softball World to understand that this isn't the end of our publication – it's a new beginning."
Slaughter will help produce Softball World and will be directly involved in its editorial content, advertising and future growth. After taking a brief break to work out the details of the incorporation, Softball World will once again be published monthly as FANatic Softball.
